Nutrition

The Nutritional Strategy developed with you underpins the aims set out before your personal training sessions. This initial assessment will bring together information from your lifestyle and body composition assessments to evaluate your diet and highlight where best to make changes to quantity, timing and nutritional value of your diet.

This aims to meet the demands of your workout schedule. For example, eating the correct amount and type of food after a workout allows sugar levels to return to normal and over longer periods stops the body generating glucose from non-glucose stores (ie: muscle mass).

By correcting your nutritional intake through an eating plan, you will meet the minimum demands of your metabolism, fuel your workouts correctly and provide enough energy after your workout to allow your body to function for the rest of the day.

Without a nutritional plan in place you may experience low energy and concentration, mood swings, lack of productivity and reduced bodily functions.

This assessment is administered at the beginning of a personal training package and is ongoing throughout.
